Women Supporting Women Across Generations
Every year, I have the honor of mentoring women as they bring their visions to life, launch new initiatives, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Mentorship is about more than sharing information. It is about helping another woman recognize what she carries, develop it, and take the necessary steps to make her vision visible. There is something deeply rewarding about watching a woman move from having an idea to confidently walking in what she was called and equipped to do.
This past weekend was especially meaningful because I had the opportunity to share the stage with Brittany Wilson, a nurse who also has a genuine passion for supporting women and mothers. Her professional experience and heart for service are coming together in a way that can make a real difference in the lives of others.
What made the experience even more memorable was having my two daughters, both in their 20s, right there cheering us on.
As a mother, mentor, and woman who has spent decades building in ministry and the marketplace, seeing the next generation present and engaged reminded me why this work matters. Our daughters need to see women encouraging one another, sharing opportunities, building meaningful work, and using their experiences to serve others.
Women do not have to compete with one another to succeed. We can share platforms, open doors, celebrate each other’s progress, and help one another turn vision into action.
This weekend was a reminder of the power of women supporting women across generations. It was a fabulous experience, and I am grateful that my daughters were there to witness it and celebrate with us.
The vision becomes even more meaningful when the next generation is watching, learning, and cheering you on.
